In our community, the support for one another remains strong, and this situation is no different. 

Slider is a super happy, fun loving kid who has recently been officially diagnosed with autism. As Slider gets older, he and his parents are facing more and more challenges. Two dangerous challenges they face are Slider’s wandering and choking tendencies.  This past summer Slider wandered away from home while playing outside and was half a mile down the road when stopped. Slider also tends to over stuff when eating. This past summer he was choking and his dad used the Heimlich maneuver on him. Although his parents do all they can, as Slide gets older he becomes more and more capable of getting off on his own and into dangerous situations like these. Service dogs from 4 Paws can assist with these issues.

Slider also deals with some social issues and tantrums. 4Paws breeds and trains Autism Assistance dogs to specifically help in these areas as well. the cost to breed and train a dog for these needs is $20,000. Any help, or even consideration is greatly appreciated.
